Quick announcement. Just received a text message from Auburn Undercover stating that Ellis Johnson is the top target to be the next Defensive Coordinator at Auburn University. This is welcoming news and a great target. Ellis Johnson is widely considered the best defensive coordinator out there right now.
I really like Brian Van Gorder and Willie Martinez and believe they would be a solid hire for the DC and Secondary coach position that they held with Chizik. I believe they can get this thing turned around and heading in the right direction especially with BVG hiring his own defensive staff and recruiting players to his scheme. However, I like Ellis Johnson and feel we will be good with either or.
