Auburn The Only Undefeated SEC Football Team: Luck Runs Out For LSU

The league's best offense (Auburn) against the league's best defense. Cam Newton proved today that even the best run defense cannot stop him.
The amazing part is, Auburn just drops back with Cam freezing the defense a little, then he torches them. At this point there is nobody close to him in the race for the Heisman.
LSU has gotten lucky this season to bring an unbeaten record into the contest at Jordan Hare. Auburn whether they had to comeback or not, have not gotten lucky to be 8-0. Behind Cam Newton and a solid running attack, we've earned it.
Coming into the season, I thought Darvin Adams would completely take over this season; however, the passing from Cam has been spread all over the field.
Defense
The defensive line is getting better by the week. There really isn't one game in which the Tiger defense hasn't put continuous pressure on the opposing QB.
The secondary has been a work in progress but, despite some costly injuries were getting better there, too. I will admit, there were a couple of wide open receivers for LSU that just dropped the ball.
Up Next
Ole Miss is up next. I think we're better than them but, I strongly suspect they'll want to pass the football, something Ole Miss hasn't been able to do. They rank 85th in the NCAA.
Their pass defense isn't very good either. Ole Miss ranks 91st in pass defense. I'm thinking we'll see less running and more passing from Newton.
I honestly think we'd defeat Ole Miss if Barrett Trotter was at QB. This should be a game where Newton can pad those Heisman stats against a poor pass defense.

I'm a bit concerned with the pass defense. There are two more passing teams on our schedule (Georgia and Alabama). After seeing the Arkansas game, I know we can win when the pass defense isn't there. but you never really want to be in those shootout-type games.Up Next
